  • Halliburton Ready to Cooperate in Oil and Gas Sector

    Alisher Sultanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, held meeting 6 August 2018 with Joe Rainey, President of Eastern Hemisphere at Halliburton Company.

    Halliburton is an American transnational corporation, one of the world’s largest companies providing services in the oil and gas industry.

    President of Halliburton noted that he was closely following the changes in the economic and political areas of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

    At the same time, he stressed the company’s long-standing intention to enter the market of Uzbekistan, and expressed the hope that today is the best time to become part of the positive changes taking place in the country.

    During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation, following which a number of agreements reached:
    – Halliburton will open a permanent office in Uzbekistan;
    – work will continue on defining a scheme of interaction to increase the production of liquid hydrocarbons from low-yield wells;
    – joint working group will consider the possibility of joint participation in projects in foreign markets.
