Belorusneft aims to increase its geological resource base and compensate for the extracted volumes of black gold. Deputy General Director for Production Denis Vorobyov told reporters about this, BELTA correspondent reports.
At the present stage, oil producers are increasing their oil production volumes every year. “Today on the agenda is the discovery of new fields in different areas of the south-east of the country. The discovery of each new deposit is compensation for recoverable reserves. And we are actively expanding the range of raw materials. We now have a geological resource base higher than the rate of oil extraction. The constant search for promising deposits shows about what the company is investing in its future and the future of its country,” Denis Vorobiev emphasized.
According to the deputy general director for production, the prospects are directly related to large volumes of seismic exploration work. And now geologists are starting to develop on an unprecedented scale – an area of 1.2 sq. km, which is planned to be studied in the next 1.5 years. We are talking about the unique Maysko-Makeevsko-Dneprovskaya area within the Rechitsa, Loevsky, Svetlogorsk, Kalinkovichi districts. Its study will allow us to talk about new prospects and volumes of oil production.
