  • Igor Sechin Appointed General Director of the Largest Subsidiary of Rosneft in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug

    The RN-Yuganskneftegaz company, the largest subsidiary of Rosneft in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, was headed by a new director. An agency source familiar with the oil industry said that Alexander Shimansky has been appointed general director of the enterprise. Before him, Yegor Filippov performed the duties of manager.

    “Alexander Shimansky has been appointed General Director of RN-Yuganskneftegaz. For three years, there was no general director at the enterprise; management functions were performed by Yegor Filippov – he was the acting general director,” an insider told URA.RU.

    At the same time, Shimansky will manage another subsidiary of Rosneft in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – JSC NK Kondaneft. Information about the appointment was confirmed by the company, but they refused to comment on the news. The new CEO has experience in managing an oil and gas production company. According to the VLSI system, for three years he headed the subsidiary of the Independent Oil and Gas Company of Eduard Khudainatov, NNK-Orenburgneftegaz.

    Earlier, URA.RU wrote that after an oil spill on a pipeline in the Nefteyugansk region, the general director of RN-Yuganskneftegaz was replaced.” Egor Filippov was appointed acting head of the company.
