  • Igor Sechin: Russian and Chinese Companies Plan to Conclude more than 20 Agreements During the RCEBF

    Russian and Chinese companies “on the sidelines” of the III Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum are planning to conclude more than 20 agreements, including for the supply of coal and technology transfer, in the electric power sector, the Executive Secretary of the Commission under the President of the Russian Federation on Fuel and Energy Development Strategy energy complex and environmental safety, Chief Executive Officer of PJSC NK Rosneft Igor Sechin.

    “This year, on the sidelines of the Forum between Russian and Chinese companies, it is planned to sign more than twenty agreements in such areas as electricity, technology transfer, joint scientific and technical research, participation in procurement, training, education, coal supplies,” he said. Igor Sechin speaking at the Forum. According to him, the agreements reached are one of the most important, practical results of our joint work.

    The forum took place in a face-to-face distance format at two sites in Moscow and Beijing, between which a video bridge was organized.

    The head of Rosneft noted that the long-term nature of business ties between the two countries, trust, mutual understanding and confidence in success will become the basis for strengthening partnerships.

    The III Russian-Chinese Energy Business Forum was attended by representatives of the governments of the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China and over 300 Russian and Chinese businessmen from the largest companies. The Forum was attended by Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Han Zheng, Head of the State Energy Administration of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Jianhua, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Yuri Borisov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Chinese National Oil and Gas Corporation Dai Houliang, heads of ministries and departments of the two countries.

    The representative composition of the participants once again confirmed the status of the RKEBF as the most important platform that forms the key areas of the energy dialogue between Russia and China.
