Iran and Russia Signed 8 Memorandums of Understanding, 2 Contracts in Different Oilfields
Iran and Russia signed as many as 10 agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOU) on cooperation in the oil industry on Wednesday.
The memorandums of understanding and agreements were signed following a meeting between Iranian Oil Minister Javad Ovji and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, who are also co-chairs of the Permanent Russian-Iranian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, in the Iranian capital Tehran.
Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister for International Affairs and Trade Ahmad Assadzade said today before the commission’s meeting that “After lengthy negotiations between Iran and Russia, 2 contracts and 8 memorandums of understanding will be signed today.”
The signing ceremony took place on the premises of the Iranian National Oil Company on Wednesday.
