Iran’s Daily Oil Production to Rise to 3.5 Million by End of Summer
Iran’s crude oil production will rise to 3.5 million barrels per day by September 22, 2023, the managing director of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) said on Wednesday.
Mohsen Hojastemer made the announcement while speaking to reporters on the occasion of National Journalists’ Day.
Saying that Iran was producing 2.2 million barrels of oil a day when the incumbent government led by President Ebrahim Raisi took office in August 2021, he said that 150,000 barrels of oil from onshore would be added to export oil production by next week. and offshore fields.
The Iranian official hailed Iran’s huge progress despite the sanctions, adding that by the end of the Iranian summer (September 22), oil production will increase to 3.5 million barrels per day.
He also said that since the incumbent government came to power, oil exports from Iran have doubled.
