Just Like Home: Gazpromneft-Khantos Creates Comfortable Conditions for Field Workers
Seven luxury dormitories, five modern canteens, a café-shop, three multifunctional sports complexes, places for employees to relax and hold cultural events—Gazpromneft-Khantos commissioned these facilities in two years. All within the framework of a program to improve social and living conditions in the fields.
“For several years we have been actively changing our deposits – making them more socially oriented. The new administrative and residential complex includes an office, a place to live, a dining room, and a gym. The goal is to make people who have lived at the field for a long time feel no worse than at home. Or maybe even better,” said Sergei Fedorov, General Director of Gazpromneft-Khantos.
He emphasized that new working and rest conditions help ensure not only efficient and safe work, but also create a comfortable environment for promoting health and maintaining a positive emotional mood. In fact, during a shift, people can lead almost the same lifestyle as while in the city.
As noted by First Deputy Governor of Yugra Aleksey Zabozlaev, the measures implemented as part of the program to improve social and living conditions at the Gazpromneft-Khantos fields are one of the examples of what the infrastructure for work and life on shift should be like.
Thus, employees of the Yuzhno-Priobsky Field today live in superior dormitories. All rooms are for single occupancy and are equipped with their own toilet and shower. The dining room is located in a separate new building, can accommodate 120 people at a time and is decorated in eco-loft style. The menu was developed jointly with professional nutritionists.
“It’s convenient that all infrastructure facilities are within walking distance, they are comfortably equipped. This has a positive effect on well-being and the quality of work. The light walls of the new dorm room, air conditioning, good sound insulation and a private shower room, which even has a hairdryer! I didn’t think that such conditions could be created at the field. This, of course, reflects attention and care for employees,” shared Gazpromneft-Khantos specialist Inna Gostishcheva.
In addition, two multifunctional sports complexes have been built at the field.
“During your shift, you can continue your training in almost the same mode as in the city. All this is in our new Vostok-Arena sports complex with a large hall for outdoor sports, a relaxation room, locker rooms, showers and a separate gym,” said Andrey Baev, head of the Gazpromneft-Khantos production support workshop.
The field’s sports infrastructure makes it possible to host major sporting events. Thus, the annual “Sports on Shift” tournament, which takes place at the Yuzhno-Priobskoye field, received more than 500 participants this year. Previously, the event was among the winners of the inaugural National Corporate Sports Development Awards 2022.
The infrastructure is complemented by a G-Drive café-shop with an equipped seating area. The assortment takes into account the needs of shift workers – you can even buy children’s toys here so that people can bring a gift to their families from the field.
