  • KazMunayGas Plans to Produce Up to 6.7 Billion Cubic Meters of Gas Per Year By 2030

    KazMunayGas is developing a Gas Strategy, within which it plans to increase natural gas production to 6.7 billion cubic meters per year by 2030, excluding large projects – Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan, Kazinform agency reports with reference to the press service of the national company KMG.

    In 2023, the exploitation of three new fields has already begun: Aksai South, Vostochny Urikhtau, Rozhkovskoye.

    In the next three to four years, KMG plans to begin production at the Central Urikhtau field – about 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

    In 2027, KazMunayGas intends to commission the Western Prorva and Kalamkas fields (gas production is expected to be 1.1 billion cubic meters per year).

    Together with international companies, a total of 12 promising geological exploration projects are being developed, as well as projects for additional exploration of existing fields.
