Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug Became the Base for Testing Unmanned Technologies for Gazprom Neft
Gazprom Neft has launched the first unmanned cargo system in the Russian oil and gas industry based on the GAZelle NEXT electric vehicle. The unmanned electric vehicle makes daily flights along the intra-field roads of the Yuzhno-Priobskoye field, along with other traffic participants.
At the same time, tests of an unmanned vehicle KAMAZ and a heavy unmanned helicopter “Aeromax” are underway. Unmanned KAMAZ trucks will double the volume of winter cargo transportation, since vehicles can go on flights around the clock with a significantly higher level of security. The tested heavy unmanned helicopter “Aeromax” delivers goods to hard-to-reach objects at a lower cost than vehicles.
The next-generation logistics transport scheme is complemented by the innovative Isource logistics system storage complex, which includes an intelligent logistics space equipped with such advanced technologies as an automated elevator storage system, a robotic loader and a remote inventory drone. The use of innovations makes it possible to optimize warehouse space by 40%, to speed up access to storage places by 50% and to reduce the operating costs of the enterprise by 30%.
Self-driving transport will allow oil and gas companies to significantly improve the efficiency of temporary winter roads for delivering goods. The use of drones and artificial intelligence not only increases the speed of delivery of goods and the overall efficiency of logistics, but also increases the level of security.
“Gazprom Neft is a long-standing and proven partner of Ugra. The joint development of unmanned vehicles and systems based on artificial intelligence is an important step in the development of our relationship. New technologies mean efficiency and safety. These are also new jobs: in addition to the technicians who will serve the drones, operators are also needed who, after completing a special training course, will be able to control the work of groups of robotic vehicles from the office. With this and many other joint projects, today we are laying the foundation for an innovative regional economy of the future, which will determine the position of Ugra on the industrial and technological map of the country in a strategic perspective. “Natalia Komarova Governor of KhMAO-Ugra
“The Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug has become the base region where Gazprom Neft is developing a program of unmanned technologies and artificial intelligence in logistics. Since August 2020, we have an agreement with the regional government on the development of unmanned vehicles. Today, an unmanned electric vehicle is operating on a permanent basis at one of the company’s fields. The partnership has allowed us to expand the use of technology through the Isource digital logistics project. ”Alexander Dybal Member of the Management Board, Gazprom Neft
“It is already obvious that the use of autonomous transport systems makes it possible to significantly increase the efficiency of logistics schemes. Unmanned vehicles operate around the clock, which means they make more flights than manned ones. Helicopter robots transport cargo even in low visibility conditions as pilots wait for the weather to improve. The use of smart warehouses reduces operating costs and optimizes storage space. It is on modern organizational and digital technologies that we place the main stake in our work. “Dmitry Potapov General Director of Gazpromneft-Procurement
