LUKOIL and Nornickel Registered an Oil Production Company in Novy Urengoy
Structures of LUKOIL and Nornickel created a company in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug for the production of oil and associated petroleum gas – Vareineftegaz LLC.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Vareineftegaz LLC was registered on September 28 in Novy Urengoy, the authorized capital is 200 million rubles, the type of economic activity in the All-Russian Classifier (OKVED) is indicated as oil and petroleum (associated) gas production.
50% of Vareineftegaz belongs to LUKOIL’s subsidiary LLC LUKOIL – Western Siberia, another 50% belongs to Zapolyaryeneftegaz LLC, created in March of this year, the beneficiary of which is Nornickel.
Vladimir Sarychev became the General Director of Vareineftegaz; previously, from August 2019 to September 24 of this year, he headed Oil and Gas Company Central LLC, owned, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, on a parity basis by the Kazakh JSC National Company KazMunayGas and Tsentrkaspneftegaz LLC “(LUKOIL and Gazprom own 50% each).
LLC “LUKOIL – Western Siberia” is one of the largest enterprises in the oil industry, developing fields in the Khanty-Mansiysk and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. More than 40% of LUKOIL’s oil and gas is produced by this West Siberian holding.
