  • LUKOIL in the Common Fight Against Coronavirus

    LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company took a whole range of measures for the safety of all its employees, and also transferred funds to charity organizations as part of the fight against COVID-19.

    Coronavirus shocked the world, becoming a key theme of all the news feeds. Viral infection looms the number 1 threat not only over human health, but over the activities of business entities in almost all sectors of the economy in the vast majority of countries.

    Taking into account the measures taken by the Government of Uzbekistan to prevent the mass spread of the dangerous virus, LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company ensured that its administrative office staff in Tashkent switched to remote work mode on March 24, providing employees with all the opportunities for full work at home with remote access to information resources and systems from mobile devices and computers.

    At the same time, wage conditions remain unchanged, wages are paid in full.

    To ensure the operation and interaction of company services, modern digital technologies are used. All employees are provided with the possibility of prompt notification and interaction, including group chats, group audio and video calls through Microsoft Teams. Continuous IT support is provided for users working in remote mode.

    In addition, an anti-crisis headquarters was established in LUKOIL-Uzbekistan to ensure uninterrupted operation against the background of the epidemic, a whole range of measures was taken for the safety of office employees and the isolated work of shift workers at production facilities. Headquarters created 2nd level headquarters in various areas of activity, whose members are constantly at their workplaces to support the current activities of the company. The headquarters employees were provided with protective equipment, daily in the mornings body temperature is measured, official transport is provided for movement around the city to work.

    The health of employees of production facilities in Kashkadarya and Bukhara regions, who are on duty, has been installed around the clock medical supervision. Doctors at medical facilities at production facilities take daily measurements of the body temperature of workers. All employees at production facilities are provided with medical masks and thermometers. Local shift workers have been transferred to a temporary working time schedule, which provides for an increase in shift periods. Moreover, all dispatching services continue to operate normally in the field.

    Despite the introduction of restrictions on the movement of cars in Tashkent, the company ensured the uninterrupted operation of LUKOIL gas stations.

    LUKOIL does not stand aside and help the population in the general fight against the spread of COVID-19. So, funds were donated to the Uzbekiston Mehr-Shavkat wa Salomatlik charity fund to provide financial assistance to the Government of Uzbekistan during the fight against coronavirus.  

    In addition, as part of LUKOIL charity support, financial support was given to low-income residents of the Alat district, the Bukhara society of the blind, the Society of the blind in the Yunusabad district of Tashkent, the Center for blind youth, and the Zie Nuri charity foundation.

    The Kashkadarya branch of the Soglom Avlod Uchun Foundation also allocated funds for the purchase of protective equipment, medicines and disinfectants for socially vulnerable segments of the population in the most remote areas of the region.

    The company believes that a conscious approach by every citizen to compliance with the quarantine measures introduced in the republic will contribute to overcoming the threat of the spread of dangerous viral infections as soon as possible and the long-awaited return to the usual way of life in society.
