LUKOIL Recognized Highest International Mass Communication Award for Promoting Innovation in the Oil Industry
PJSC LUKOIL was awarded the Grand Prix, as well as victories in two nominations at once in the Eventiada IPRA Golden World Awards, the largest in Eastern Europe and Central Asia, in the field of mass communications. Starting this year, the competition is being held in partnership with the United Nations (UN), becoming part of the program to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
LUKOIL received the highest international award for projects implemented in 2019-2020, including for the creation of a large-scale multimedia exposition in the historical pavilion No. 25 “Oil” at VDNKh, telling about the history and scientific and technological progress of the fuel and energy complex.
The Company’s project was recognized as the best initiative in support of the 9th UN Sustainable Development Goal – “Building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialization and innovation.” Most of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations are directly related to the activities of PJSC LUKOIL, such as affordable energy, preservation of sea and land ecosystems, combating climate change, social welfare issues and others. These tasks are integrated into the Company’s Strategy.
In addition, LUKOIL’s program for the development of the historical pavilion No. 25 “Oil” at VDNKh was recognized as the best exhibition project in Eastern Europe, the CIS and Central Asia.
In 2020, Eventiada IPRA GWA received applications from 14 countries: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Poland, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine and Croatia. Among the participants are the largest international and national corporations, global and regional public organizations, government agencies, leading communication agencies and creative youth. The winners were selected by an international jury of representatives of 35 national associations from 17 countries.
