The Russian oil company Lukoil signed an agreement on the exploration, development and development of an additional section of the West Ash El Mallaha field during the EGYPES 2024 oil and gas exhibition in Cairo, the Russian trade mission in Egypt reported.

The international oil and gas exhibition EGYPES 2024 was held in the Egyptian capital on February 19-21. The event was attended by over 35 thousand people from 120 countries, and more than 450 companies participated.

“Lukoil acted as a silver sponsor of the event, and also signed a concession agreement with the Egyptian State Petroleum Corporation for the exploration, development and development of an additional section of the West Ash El Mallaha field in the Eastern Desert,” the trade mission said in a statement.

The trade mission also noted that the Pipe Metallurgical Company organized its own stand at the exhibition, where the company’s high-tech products for enterprises in the fuel and energy complex were presented.

The trade mission added that a number of other Russian companies operating in the oil and gas sector sent delegations to the exhibition to establish contacts with Egyptian partners.
