  • LUKOIL-Technologies: To Create Virtual Workplaces

LUKOIL-Technologies (a 100% subsidiary of PJSC LUKOIL), acting as an integrator of information solutions for LUKOIL Group organizations, has started designing a new system of virtual workplaces. A single service will allow users to access corporate resources and personal desktop from any type of portable device. At the same time, the integrity and security of the transmitted data will be preserved.

The relevance of the introduction of cloud technologies is associated, among other things, with a complex epidemiological situation. In 2020, LUKOIL-Technologies specialists implemented a number of digital initiatives aimed at ensuring the continuity and safety of business processes from hydrocarbon production to sales of finished products. In particular, the system has been improved, which makes it possible to efficiently manage corporate data remotely.

“The Unified Information Space (UIS) developed by the enterprise made it possible to transfer employees of LUKOIL Group organizations to remote work in the conditions of restrictive measures as soon as possible. The transition to an IT infrastructure with centralized access to systems and applications has significantly optimized some of the computing operations, facilitated prompt management decisions, and ensured the sustainable development of LUKOIL’s business segments. The functionality of the digital architecture is planned to be expanded. Soon, the computing power of the regional network will be increased and information systems will be migrated to new resources,” said Rinald Khamidullin, General Director of LUKOIL-Technologies.
