  • Max Petroleum: Strikes Dust at UTS-5

Max Petroleum Plc, an oil and gas exploration and production company focused on Kazakhstan, today announces that it has completed drilling the UTS-5 exploration well on the Uytas North prospect on Block A. The well reached a total depth of 931 metres without encountering producible hydrocarbons and will be plugged and abandoned. The Zhanros ZJ-20 rig will next move to the Uytas Field to drill the UTS-8 well, which, if successful, will extend the Western limits of the Uytas Field.
