  • New contracts and global projects for iicorr Ltd

    Technical integrity and asset assurance expert iicorr has announced new contracts worth almost £1million.  The majority of the work has been secured by the firm’s specialist Inspection & Corrosion services team. The contracts have been placed by Oil & Gas operators Fairfield Energy and OMV, plus leading energy industry services companies Oceaneering and Schlumberger.

    The projects have varied in scope from supply and installation of high tech corrosion & sand monitoring systems to the development of bespoke non-destructive technology (NDT) inspection tooling for risers & J Tubes.  The client base has stretched from the UK Continental Shelf and Central Europe, to the Caspian region and Central Africa.

    The projects were especially challenging completing services in a variety of locations and conditions in High Pressure/High Temperature conditions that have ranged from sub zero ambient temperatures to 40C.

    iicorr Ltd is a specialist technology company in integrity, inspection and corrosion, providing consultancy, management, engineering and operational support in the oil and gas, process, utilities and marine industry sectors.

    The firm employs around 200 staff and reported a turnover of £20 million in 2009.

    iicorr engineers with a Hydraulic retrieval tool and service valve. The tool was demonstrated along with other corrosion monitoring equipment at the firm’s open day earlier this year.
