New Domestic Equipment Installed at the Chayandinskoye Field
A variable frequency drive (VFD) for high-voltage motors of the compressor unit of the booster compressor station (BCS) was installed at the Helium Concentrate Membrane Recovery Unit at the Chayandinskoye Oil and Gas Production Department of Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk LLC. This domestic equipment was manufactured in Cheboksary. It is designed for start-up and operation of electric gas-compressor units (EGPU). The VFD allows to reduce starting currents, and also provides frequency regulation of the rotation speed of the high-voltage electric motor in accordance with the technological mode of operation of the BCS.
The use of a variable frequency drive is one of the most effective means of energy saving and control of process parameters. Among the advantages: reduction of starting currents and improvement of operating conditions for conductive electrical equipment; smooth stop of the controlled unit; saving electricity.
The introduction of modern Russian-made equipment in production makes it possible to ensure the safety of complex technological processes, which in general contributes to an increase in the reliability of production.
