New Equipment for Fishermen in the Geophysical Division of TAGRAS Holding

TNG-Group has expanded its fleet of field equipment with the SKAT38\1-150 geophysical instrument. It is intended for geophysical research when monitoring the development of oil and gas deposits in conditions of elevated temperatures.

“This is a significant breakthrough in the development of geophysical equipment. Increasing the thermal resistance of devices opens up new opportunities for their use in more extreme downhole conditions. For example, this equipment can already be successfully used within the framework of existing contracts in Uzbekistan,” notes Rustem Akbashev, head of the field geophysics department at TNG-Group.

New equipment produced by TNG-Universal specialists will allow assessing the technical condition of production wells equipped with tubing and compressor pipes with an internal diameter of at least 50 mm. Previous modifications of SKAT could operate at temperatures no higher than 120 degrees Celsius. After modernization, research can be carried out in wells at 150 degrees Celsius.

SKAT38\1-150 has already been tested at the TNG-Group metrological center. Experts checked the accuracy of measurements, the resistance of the device to extreme conditions, and its safety in operation. The pilot production specialists plan to increase the maximum permissible operating pressure of the equipment from 60 to 80 MPa.
