  • New Oil Data Obtained in the Samara Region of the Russian Federation

Specialists from the geophysical company TNG-Group have gained new insights into the geological structure of the southern part of the Keremetyevskoye oil field. This has made it possible to identify drilling locations. The geological team was assisted by data obtained from seismic exploration conducted in the Chelno-Vershinsky District of the Samara Region.

This information was reported to Devon News Agency by the press service of the oilfield services company. The research was conducted in July–August 2024 by the pilot-industrial expedition VSP-Service.

“Based on the seismic survey data, we are currently drilling the third well at this subsoil plot,” said Dinar Salikhov, Chief Geologist of the client company.
“We are receiving confirmation of the absolute elevations identified by the geologists of TNG-Group.”

“Drilling has confirmed the structural model and penetrated the target deposits of the Bobrikovsky horizonat the predicted absolute depths,” he explained.
    “There is an oil-saturated reservoir.”

The seismic exploration at the oil field was conducted using the Common Depth Point Wide Profile (CDP-WP) method.

The wells drilled in the southeastern part of the Soldatskoye uplift confirmed the structural interpretation. They penetrated the targeted Bobrikovsky horizon deposits at the predicted absolute elevations, confirming oil saturation.
