New Opportunities For Future Engineers: Gazprom Neft And Tomsk Polytechnic University Have Opened Training Centers For Specialists In The Oil And Gas Industry
Gazprom Neft and Tomsk Polytechnic University (TPU) have opened two joint training centers for training specialists for the oil and gas industry: the Production Management Center and the Well Construction Management Center. In the new centers, students of the TPU School of Engineering will be trained in high-tech methods of oil production. The experts at the centers were Gazprom Neft employees who participated in the development of the training program and virtual simulators necessary to develop skills in working with modern technologies.
For university employees who will work in new training centers, an internship was held at the Gazpromneft-Vostok Production Control Center. The teachers became familiar with the digital modeling and analytics processes with which Gazprom Neft specialists remotely monitor the trajectory and accuracy of underground operations.
The centers are designed to provide educational programs for both students and existing oil and gas industry professionals. The start of training is scheduled for autumn 2024. This year the cooperation between Gazprom Neft and Tomsk Polytechnic University will be 10 years old. The company has become one of the main strategic and industrial partners of the university. TPU was one of the first to join the Gazprom Neft League of Universities, which also supports the university in the federal programs Priority 2030 and Advanced Engineering Schools. In total, the company and the university jointly implemented more than 50 research projects.
