New Records. “Belorusneft” Will Increase about 2.3 Million Tons of Recoverable Oil Reserves by the End of the Year
Belorusneft intends to increase approximately 2.3 million tons of recoverable oil reserves by the end of 2023. These forecasts were shared with journalists by the Deputy General Director of Belorusneft for Geology Petr Povzhik on the eve of the Day of Oil, Gas and Fuel Industry Workers, BelTA has learned.
The company reminded that more than half of the Belarusian black gold reserves are classified as hard-to-recover. “Therefore, the farther and deeper our specialists look into the prehistoric, impenetrable recesses of the Polissya subsoil, the more difficult, and therefore more surprising the discovery. This strategy has fully justified its expediency,” the company stressed.
The production association “Belorusneft” was founded in 1966. The enterprise conducts search, exploration and development of oil fields, drilling of wells, production of oil and associated petroleum gas in Belarus, works in the oil sector of other countries.
