NIDC Drilled 27 Oil and Gas Wells in 100 days
The National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC) has dug and completed 27 oil and gas wells during the first 100 days of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21 to June 30), the company’s managing director said.
According to Hamidreza Golpayegani, the drilled wells consisted of two production and 25 capital wells, Shana reports.
Golpaegani previously announced the improvement of the company’s infrastructure in accordance with the programs of the Ministry of Oil as the most important achievement of NIDC over the past year.
Speaking at the company’s annual board meeting, the official said NIDC’s performance across the various operations, technical, engineering, support, maintenance and headquarters divisions was significant and improved in the previous year compared to the previous two years.
“According to statistics from our planning department, [the company’s] productivity index reached 62 percent last year, compared to 48 percent in 1400,” he said.
NIDC succeeded in drilling and completing 99 oil and gas wells in the past Iranian calendar year 1401 (ended March 21).
Masood Afshar, NIDC’s deputy head of drilling operations, said the drilled wells consisted of 15 production wells, five exploration wells and 79 workovers.
He said that 77 of the mentioned wells were drilled in the operating zone of the National Iranian Southern Oil Company (NISOC), eight wells were drilled in the fields under the supervision of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC), eight in the fields operated by the Petroleum Engineering Company (PEDEC). ), two wells under the project and four in the operating area of the Drilling Control Department of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
More than 67,000 meters of drilling has been completed to drill said wells, the official announced and noted, “Comprehensive planning has been carried out to speed up drilling operations, and it is expected that with the reconstruction and modernization of drilling machines and equipment this year, we will see the use of more of the company’s drilling machines. in oil rich areas of the country.”
