  • Nostrum Has Begun Re-drilling Wells at The Chinarevskoye Oil and Gas Condensate Field

    Nostrum Oil & Gas PLC has begun re-drilling well No. 301 at the Chinarevskoye oil and gas condensate field (OGCF) in Kazakhstan. The company’s press service reports this.

    Re-drilling program

    Well No. 301 is the 1st of 2 wells provided for by the re-drilling program at the Chinarevskoye oil and gas condensate field, implemented in 2023-2024. It is noted that these plans are consistent with licensing obligations and the field development plan of the company’s subsidiary, Zhaikmunai.

    The program utilizes existing wells to reduce costs and includes a range of field development targets, including exploration, appraisal and production targets to address uncertainty and risk. The duration of drilling and completion of well No. 301 is expected to take 3 months. Expected commissioning date is mid-2024.

    After well No. 301, the drilling rig will be moved to well No. 41 to drill a sidetrack. The expected duration of drilling and completion of well No. 41 will also be 3 months. The commissioning date in case of successful completion of the work is the 3rd quarter of 2024.
