NOV Kostroma: Launches Production
On the 9th of March NOV Kostroma opened their brand new manufacturing and production facility in Volgorechensk City in the Kostroma Region.
NOV have spent heavily investing in the new site, spending $115m USD to bring the centre on stream. Operating with a team of 200 personnel. The site is a major commitment to the Russian and CIS oil and gas market.
The Russian market is often favourable to locally made equipment the site will give NOV a significant advantage in offering tailored solutions to the region.
With the current economic situation and low oil price, having a domestic manufacturing base will also enable NOV to reduce lead times for new builds, spare parts and consumables.
NOV Kostroma will produce:
– Drilling Rigs and Equipment: Mobile rigs (100-200 Metric Ton Capacity) Conventional rigs (160-950 Metric Ton Capacity), Train Rigs (160-950 Metric Ton Capacity)
– Repair and overhaul services for Top Drives and BOP’s
Downhole (WBT) Equipment: Drill Bits, Jars, Downhole Motors, Reamers, Crossover subs, Fishing Tools, Stator Reline Services
