Novatek has begun production at the Severo-Chaselskoye field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The annual production level at the field will exceed 3 billion cubic meters of natural gas and 0.1 million tons of gas condensate per year, the company reported.
“The launch of the Severo-Chaselskoye field will make a significant contribution to our volumes of natural gas supplied to the domestic market,” commented the head of the company, Leonid Mikhelson.
According to him, maintaining pipeline gas production levels in the Unified Gas Supply System area still remains an integral part of the company’s strategy.
