  • NOVATEK: to Launch the Harbeyskoye Field in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Within a Few Weeks

    NOVATEK will launch the Harbeyskoye oil and gas field in the Tazovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District within a few weeks. This was stated by the head of the company’s investor relations department Alexander Nazarov.

    The Kharbeyskoye field is part of the North-Russian block, along with the North-Russkoye, Dorogovskoye and Vostochno-Tazovskoye. The launch of the Severo-Russkoye field took place at the end of 2019, and the other two in 2020.

    The total projected gas production level for the three fields, which are already being produced, is 8 billion cubic meters. per year and about 1 million tons of gas condensate. And taking into account the launch of the Kharbeyskoye field, the figure for the entire block will reach 13 billion cubic meters. per year, reports RIA Novosti.

    In 2017, NOVATEK tentatively estimated the gas reserves of the Kharbeyskoye field at 220 billion cubic meters, and the recoverable oil reserves at more than 40 million tons in ABC1 + C2 categories.
