  • Oil And Gas Companies Of The Russian Federation Spent 2.7 Trillion Rubles On Service Work Over The Year

    The costs of Russian mining companies for oil services in 2023 increased by 12%

    Companies in the oil and gas sector of the Russian Federation in 2023 allocated about 2.7 trillion rubles as expenses for service services. This is almost 12% more than in 2022, writes Interfax with reference to Rosstat.

    The agency clarifies that the list of services taken into account in particular includes drilling of oil and gas wells, virtually all types of seismic exploration of field work and even fire prevention measures in fields.

    In the fourth quarter of 2023, subsoil users’ expenses for these purposes reached 796 billion rubles, while in the corresponding period of 2022 they were at the level of 692.5 billion rubles.

    At the same time, Rosstat reports an increase in oil wells put into operation: in 2023 – 7.133 thousand units against 6.152 thousand in the previous year. As for gas wells, 61 of them were commissioned in 2023 compared to 22 in 2022.
