Oil Production in Azerbaijan in 2024 Will Be About 29.5 Million Tons
The Azerbaijani government forecasts oil production in the country in 2024 at 29 million 492.3 thousand tons, a government source told Interfax-Azerbaijan.
Actual data on oil production in the country for 2023 have not yet been published. However, the Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan reported in November that oil production in the country in 2023 is expected to reach 30.5 million tons.
Thus, in 2024, the decline in oil production compared to 2023 could be 3.3%.
According to the State Statistics Committee, oil production with gas condensate in Azerbaijan in January-November 2023 amounted to 27 million 695.4 thousand tons, which is 7.4% lower than the same period in 2022.
In 2022, oil production with gas condensate in Azerbaijan amounted to 32 million 667.7 thousand tons (a decline of 5.5%), exports – 26.3 million tons (a decline of 6.5%).
