Oil Production in Venezuela Increased by 10.65 Percent in 2023
The average daily level of oil production in Venezuela increased from January to July 2023 from 732 to 810 thousand barrels per day – monthly statistics were published by the Minister of Oil and the head of the Venezuelan oil and gas PDVSA, Rafael Tellechea.
“Oil production in Venezuela continues to recover in 2023 thanks to the strategy of President Nicolás Maduro and the efforts of PDVSA workers, demonstrating that it is possible to effectively resist the blockade and rely on our own strength,” Telechea wrote on his blog on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
According to the published infographic based on OPEC reports on the oil market, Venezuela produced 732,000 barrels of oil per day in January this year. The peak of production, 819 thousand barrels per day, occurred in May, according to the results of July, it is at the level of 810 thousand barrels.
Earlier, Telechea said in an interview that Venezuela intends to reach a production level of 1 million barrels per day by the end of this year, and to produce 1.76 million barrels a year later.
According to the results of the first half of 2023, the volume of oil refining in Venezuela reached 300,000 barrels per day.
