  • Oil Production in Yakutia in the 1st Quarter of 2023 Increased by 11%

Oil production in Yakutia in the 1st quarter of 2023 amounted to 5.1 million tons, which is 11% higher than the level of the same period in 2022. This was reported in the Ministry of Industry and Geology of Yakutia. Recall that in 2022 Yakutia reached record levels of oil production – more than 18 million tons.
By the end of 2023, the republic plans to produce 18.9 million tons of oil by increasing capacities at the Chayandinskoye oil and gas condensate field (NGKM).

By 2030, the region plans to increase the production of energy resources by more than 3 times.

In addition, in March 2023 it became known that the regional government in 2022 increased the funding for geological exploration (GE) by 2 times, up to 50 billion rubles.

The funds are directed to work to search for and discover new deposits of oil, natural gas, precious metals and diamonds. Recently, 3 new oil and gas fields have been discovered in the region with total gas reserves of 70 billion m3.
