  • Oil Service Company Geotech Was Headed by a Former Top Manager of Gazprombank

Roman Panov, who previously served as vice president of Gazprombank, has been appointed as the new president of the oil service Geotek, the company reported.

“Panov has extensive expertise in the management and development of raw materials and geological exploration assets. His many years of experience as the head of the Rosgeology holding, as well as the first vice president of Gazprombank, will allow Geotech to continue the progressive development of key business areas and ensure the successful implementation of the strategy company until 2028,” the statement says.

Geotek is currently modernizing its equipment fleet; the planned investment volume is 5 billion rubles.

The new head of the company called its main task in the medium term the formation of a portfolio of orders both in the Russian and foreign markets.

“At the same time, the company faces the task of diversifying its activities and strengthening its competencies in the production of high-tech equipment in the field of geological exploration,” Panov’s words are quoted in the message.

Geotech (formerly Geotech Seismic Prospecting) was founded in 2009 and carries out work in Western and Eastern Siberia, in the Timan-Pechora and Volga-Ural provinces, as well as in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries. At the end of last year, the company came under the control of a structure of Gazprombank – closed mutual fund Gazprombank-Nephrite.
