Oiltech Atyrau Conference returns to West Kazakhstan

The Atyrau Regional Petroleum Technology Conference (Oiltech Atyrau) returns for its 7th edition on 16 – 17 April 2013 at the Renaissance Hotel in Atyrau, Kazakhstan.

Oiltech Atyrau is a technical oil and gas conference focusing on multi-billion dollar projects, including the petrochemical plant in Northern Karabatan; developing local content; transportation projects; and industrial safety and ecological standards best practices.

Kairat Bekturgenev, Chairman of the Board, NADLoC National Agency for Local Content Development will discuss Kazakhstan’s local content regulations, monitoring and compliance.

Bazarbay Nurabayev, Director, Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative in Kazakhstan and Uzakbay Karabalin, General Director, Kazakh Institute of Oil and Gas, KazMunaiGas will share their insights on regional developments for securing energy security across Eurasia.

Suliman AbduAllah Al-Mousa, Plant Engineer, Saudi Aramco will discuss how to systematically investigate problems, incidents and failures using the TapRoot system, and Håkon Skretting, Regional Director for Kazakhstan, INTSOK will present best practice examples from the Norwegian local content model.

New for this year’s conference is a workshop on day one which will focus on how health, safety and environment strategies can help to achieve operation excellence through enhancing leadership competencies, led by Sentis.
