  • Orenburgneft entered in the commercial development of three new fields

JSC “Orenburgneft”, a subsidiary of Rosneft, has started commercial operation of three new oil fields in the South Orenburgskoy region – Bolotovskogo, Eastern and South — Bolotovskogo. Their initial recoverable reserves of AV1B2 categories are 5.4 million tons of oil.

The introduction of new fields is part of a large-scale program for the development of the Volostnovo-zemlyansk cluster, the total resource potential of which is 13.2 million tons of oil.

The development of the field was preceded by 3D seismic exploration and drilling of exploration wells. The average starting oil flow rate of 17 wells already drilled is more than 124 tons/day. Infrastructure facilities have been built for the development of new fields. To transport additional volumes of oil, roads with a total length of 75 km were put into operation. To provide power supply to new facilities, a high-voltage power line VL-110kV with a length of 60 km is being built. Oil deposits in the new fields are located close to each other, which allows to obtain a synergistic effect in their joint development using existing capacities, the press service of the oil company reported.

The deposits are located within Bolotovskogo license area. Discoveries were made in the framework of development Volotovski-Zemlyansky cluster. The structure of the cluster consists of 24 oil fields.

Orenburg oil plans to build new production wells in 2019, six of which will be horizontal with the multistage hydraulic fracturing operation to increase the effective production of reserves.
