  • Orenburgneft: Reserves Increased by 30 million tons in 2020

    The reserves of JSC Orenburgneft (a production asset of Rosneft) increased by more than 30 million tons of hydrocarbons in 2020. The company discovered 9 new fields and 40 deposits within the existing fields with total recoverable industrial grade reserves of more than 11 million tonnes of oil equivalent.

    Among the newly discovered fields are Novolekarevskoye and Oktyabrskoye in the Zalessky subsoil area, Vostochno-Bobrovskoye, Yuzhno-Kominternovskoye, Severo-Kommunarskoye in the Buzuluksky subsoil area, Zapadno-Baklanovskoye on the Pokrovsko-Sorochinsky license area (LU), Pogranichnoye on the LUobogolyubovskoye Kameliksky license area and Shishkanskoye at the Slobodsky site.

    As a result of the program of prospecting, appraisal and exploration drilling at the new licensed areas of Orenburgneft in 2020, reserves replenishment amounted to 219%. The volume of exploration and appraisal drilling in 2020 amounted to about 56 thousand meters of rocks.

    A total of 20 production and 17 production wells are planned to be drilled at the new fields.

    The company conducts geological exploration work within the Orenburg, Samara and Saratov regions. In 2021, it is planned to complete over 445 km. sq. field seismic work and complete the construction of 7 prospecting and appraisal and exploration wells. including prospecting and appraisal well No. 1 of the Kutuluk subsoil area. As a result of its drilling, it is planned to increase the recoverable reserves by more than 70 million tons in the Domanik strata.
