Over 500 Startups Applied to Participate in the Second Stream of the Gazprom Neft Accelerator INDUSTRIX
Gazprom Neft has completed accepting applications for the second round of the INDUSTRIX upstream accelerator. The finalists of the program will receive expert and business support from the company, as well as be able to implement their developments in industry and apply for venture financing.
Entrepreneurs from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan will compete for the opportunity to develop their projects as part of the INDUSTRIX technology accelerator. Since the start of accepting applications, Gazprom Neft has received over 500 applications from the authors of decisions in the field of geological exploration, well construction and field development, capital construction, gas and energy.
Projects are currently being reviewed. They are evaluated in terms of current industry challenges and the maturity of the proposed solutions: startups must be tested and have the potential to replicate.
Until mid-February, the selection of applications will be completed. A four-month educational program will be launched for accelerator participants. The course includes intensive courses in business and project management, consultations with experts and master classes. Each startup will be accompanied by a personal mentor from Gazprom Neft, with whom they will develop a strategy for bringing the product to the external market.
Accelerator graduates will be able not only to improve their developments to the level of an industrial product, but also to implement and test them at the facilities of Gazprom Neft and the company’s partners. Finalists will have the opportunity to replicate and commercialize their startups and qualify for venture capital funding.
In 2022, according to the results of the first stream, 12 startups became finalists of the accelerator. Seven of them have already completed testing their developments at industrial facilities. Three projects will receive support from the New Industry Venture Fund.
“The interest of the innovation community in the INDUSTRIX technology accelerator is not weakening: for the second year we have received a large number of applications from startups. Our accelerator is an important part of the Gazprom Neft open innovation system. This allows us to attract the widest possible range of representatives of technology industries to solve industry problems. Then ¬- test hypotheses in real conditions at our fields and find the best ways to further support promising projects. Learning about the needs of the oil industry, representatives of the innovation community understand what solutions will be in demand and in what direction it is worth putting efforts and their intellectual potential.”
