PDVSA and Gazprom Discuss Cooperation in Venezuela
Venezuelan PDVSA and Gazprom are discussing cooperation in new gas projects in the republic, the issue will be resolved in the coming weeks, Foreign Minister Ivan Gil Pinto said in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“The Gazprom company has already been in Venezuela, already working on projects that were in one way or another affected by sanctions against the republic. Now we are at a new stage of cooperation, primarily on issues related to exploration and production in new gas fields. These “The issues will be resolved over the coming weeks. Gazprom management is holding meetings with colleagues from PDVSA to work out the parameters of participation and technical specifications,” he said.
Earlier, the Minister of People’s Power for Oil of Venezuela and President of PDVSA Pedro Tellechea said that PDVSA had resumed five joint ventures with Russian companies, and the republic would also implement a number of projects with Gazprom.
