  • Petrobras Receives License to Operate FPSO Anita Garibaldi

The Brazilian Institute of the Environment (IBAMA) has granted Petrobras a license to operate the FPSO Anita Garibaldi, which should start operations in the coming weeks.

The unit is capable of producing up to 80,000 b/d of oil and processing up to 7 million m³/s of gas. FPSO Anita Garibaldi is part of the Marlim and Voador renaissance project. Petrobras’ idea is to connect the new platform to 43 wells, with peak production expected in 2026.

As part of the Marlim revitalization project, it is planned to replace nine platforms currently operating at the Marlim and Voador fields (P-18, P-19, P-20, P-26, P-32, P-33, P-35, P- – 37 and P-47) with the new FPSO Anita Garibaldi and FPSO Anna Nery, the latter of which entered service in May this year.

Petrobras plans to allocate $18 billion to restore the Campos Basin by 2027. This planning includes projects such as the construction of six new fixed production units (UEPs) and the drilling of more than 200 additional wells.
