  • RDCR 2017 Awards for ‘Best Regional Drilling Contractor’ & ‘Best Regional Service Company’

    For the first time at RDCR 2017: the RDCR executive committee, in direct collaboration with the RDCR Advisory board and our regional Operator partners – hosted the “RDCR Awards” for the best drilling contractors and services companies operating across the Russian Federation.

    The awards were issued directly by the regional operators for excellent performance in the field. By having the operators issue the awards, collating and aggregating the results from all corners of Russia, the RDCR Awards are recognition of the impressive work which has been carried out by the winner and those nominated.

    The awards aim to highlight regional achievements across the drilling sphere for both contractors and services companies.

    The awards were categorized as follows:

    Best Drilling Contractor 2016:

    The final nominations were: Eurasia Drilling, Eriell Group, Nabors Drilling, KCA Deutag, RN Burenie

    The winner was KCA Deutag. The award was collected by Stanislav Sorokin, Project Manager, KCA Deutag Drilling GmbH

    Best Service Company 2016

    The final nominations were: Schlumberger, Halliburton, Weatherford, SSC and Burintek

    The winner was Halliburton. Nikolay Rybin, Deputy Director Business Development Halliburton, collected the award on behalf of Halliburton.

    Best Rig Crew 2016 

    The final nominations were: Two crews from Eurasia Drilling, Eriell Group, two crews from RN Burenie, and Nabors Drilling

    The winner was the Ainullin crew for RN Burenie.  Alexander Gorbachov, Head of Production and Technology for RN Burenie, was due to collect the award on behalf of the crew but was called back to the office, Vasily Kireev, Head of Onshore Technologies & Engineering Rosneft, collected o his behalf.

    Longest Well Drilled 2016 

    The winner was Rosneft. The well was drilled by RN Shelf-Dalniy Vostok, Well NC-5, ttl length 11,653m at the Northern Tip of Chayvo (Chayvo North).

    And finally the RDCR issued a personal achievement award to a person who has dedicated their life to improving the Russian oil patch.

    The winner was V.A. Panchenko of Rosneft. Mr Panchenko could not be at the RDCR, his award will be passed on to him.

    The RDCR would like to thanks all those who took part in the awards and a special thank you is reserved for Denis Ivanov of Nabors Drillig who assisted an supported the awards process.  Mr Ivanov hosted the awards at the end of the days technical sessions.
