RN-Burenie Celebrates 15 Years Since the Beginning of Production Activities
LLC RN-Burenie celebrates 15 years since its foundation. Today the enterprise is the leader of the Russian market of drilling companies with an extensive branch network and provides 50% of Rosneft’s drilling operations. Thanks to the introduction of new technologies, the improvement of the quality of services provided, as well as the systematic development of the enterprises of the Oil and Gas Service block, this figure is growing every year.
RN-Burenie employs over 16 thousand highly qualified employees. The technical equipment and the level of training of specialists allow attracting the enterprise for the implementation of the largest and most promising projects of the Company.
For 15 years, the company has become a national leader in terms of annual footage, which currently accounts for 24% (6,500,000 meters) of the total footage of Russian drilling companies. The total drilling footage since 2006 has increased 9 times and is more than 45 million meters, and the fleet of drilling rigs has increased 5 times to 325 units. RN-Burenie employs 282 drilling crews.
RN-Burenie’s specialists, together with the Company’s mining enterprises, are setting new industry records. Thus, in 2020, the world’s first 15-bottom horizontal well with a birch leaf structure was drilled at the Srednebotuobinskoye field. The well has the largest in the country the length of penetration through the collector – 10,310 meters, and its total length exceeds 12 thousand meters. The starting flow rate of this well was more than 400 tons of oil per day.
Also in 2020, a horizontal two-string well was drilled at the Priobskoye field in a record 8 days using hydrocarbon-based fluids. At the same time, the commercial drilling rate exceeded 15 thousand meters per machine-month – a unique result for the industry.
Every day, RN-Drilling specialists perform production and exploratory drilling of wells in hundreds of fields, and also perform well reconstruction by sidetracking.
