RN-Krasnodarneftegaz Increased the Level of Rational Use of Associated Petroleum Gas to 99%
In 2022, RN-Krasnodarneftegaz (part of the Rosneft oil and gas production complex) increased the level of APG rational use by 1.5% to 98.7%, which is one of the best indicators in the industry.
Most of the produced gas – over 900 million m3 – was sent to the Unified Gas Supply System, and supplies were also made to consumers in the Krasnodar Territory.
It was possible to increase the beneficial use of APG thanks to the implementation of a large-scale targeted gas program of Rosneft, within the framework of which a developed infrastructure was built. Over the course of a number of years, eight large facilities of the gas collection and treatment system were put into operation at four groups of fields: the Khankovskaya booster pumping station, the Troitskaya compressor station, the Gazelan gas treatment unit, the Troitskaya automated group metering unit, and the gas flow measurement unit. Also, the increase in the level of rational use of APG in 2022 was influenced by the reduction in the time for routine maintenance of the system for collecting, compressing, preparing and transporting products.
In addition, RN-Krasnodarneftegaz is a leader in the introduction of renewable energy sources. At production facilities at four large fields, the company uses wind turbines with integrated solar panels as energy sources. Optimal geographical conditions for the location of the fields – a large number of windy and sunny days – allow the use of hybrid plants with high efficiency. At the end of 2022, more than 8,000 kWh were saved.
