RN-Uvatneftegaz Put Into Operation a New Field at the Uvat Project – Pikhtovoe

The RN-Uvatneftegaz company, which is part of the oil production complex of NK Rosneft, has put into operation a new field – Pikhtovoe. The start-up flow rate of one of the wells of the field amounted to more than 100 tons of oil per day.

The Pikhtovoye field, located in the autonomy, became part of the Tyamkinsky hub. The development of deposits through the creation of hubs at the Uvat project makes it possible to involve small and medium-sized satellite deposits in the development ”and to increase the economic efficiency of the development of assets through the use of the existing production infrastructure.

At the Pikhtovoye field, 3D seismic work was performed, three prospecting and exploration wells were drilled, the necessary infrastructure was created to connect the new asset with the central gathering point of the Tyamkinskoye field.

Over the next several years, it is planned to drill more than 30 production wells at the Pikhtovoye field, including horizontal ones, using technologies that increase the productivity of reservoirs, such as multi-stage hydraulic fracturing.

To achieve an economic effect and optimize the timing of commissioning a group of wells, their construction will be carried out by two drilling rigs from two well pads. At the Uvat project, new drilling technologies are used – the conveyor method, which makes it possible to reduce the commissioning time for a group of wells and reduce the volume of drilling fluid used. Rotary steerable systems and logging while drilling will also be used for drilling horizontal sections.

RN-Uvatneftegaz, one of the largest taxpayers in the Tyumen region, makes a significant contribution to the development of the region’s industry. About 8 thousand employees of LLC RN-Uvatneftegaz and contractors are involved in the implementation of the project. The commissioning of new fields and production facilities contributes to the creation of qualified jobs. The participation of local contractors and suppliers in the implementation of the Uvat project has a multiplier effect for the development of the regional economy. Under the current agreement between Rosneft and the region, the company actively supports regional social programs and contributes to the development of the Uvat region.
