RN-Uvatneftegaz Replenished Hydrocarbon Production by 109% in 2025
RN-Uvatneftegaz (part of the oil production complex of Rosneft Oil Company) increased its hydrocarbon reserves by 12 million tons of oil equivalent in 2025, replenishing production by 109%.
The reserve growth was ensured by successful geological exploration activities and re-evaluation of resources at producing fields. Reserves of the new Yuzhno-Keumskoye oil field have been put on the state balance.
In 2025, RN-Uvatneftegaz drilled five exploration wells that yielded commercial oil flows with production rates of up to 19 m³/day. The success rate of exploration drilling reached 100%. The company’s geologists have maintained this level for the third consecutive year.
Processing and interpretation of seismic survey data have been completed at the Yuzhno-Kamelyagskaya, Vostochno-Gerasimovskaya, Uspeshnaya, and Yelovaya areas. Based on the obtained data, a detailed geological model has been prepared with an assessment of the resource potential of these areas and identification of promising targets for exploration drilling. The model also allows minimizing risks during geological operations.
The reserves added by the company in 2025 will be brought into development in the short term. RN-Uvatneftegaz is developing fields using horizontal and directional wells with hydraulic fracturing, which significantly increase production rates and the oil recovery factor.
Plans for 2026 also include ensuring reserve replacement of hydrocarbon production at a level exceeding 100%. The new growth driver is expected to be the resources of the Pikhtovoye license block, where an active program of exploration well testing is scheduled for this year.
