RN-Uvatneftegaz: Reserve Replacement Running at 238%
Replenishment of oil reserves of RN-Uvatneftegaz, a subsidiary of Rosneft, amounted to 238% in 2018. Replacement reserves of industrial categories АВ1С1 amounted to 25.2 million tons. High rates of exploration and drilling allowed to achieve such growth.
According to the exploration program, 17 exploratory and exploratory wells were built on the territory of the Uvat project, more than 1.4 thousand km2 of 3D seismic studies were performed. Drilling in exploration drilling increased by 4% to 51 thousand meters.
The exploration wells drilled in 2018 at the license areas Yugansky-11 and Yugansky-12 confirmed the oil bearing capacity of the Neocomian and middle Jurassic layers and the prospects of this area. The results of the exploration program expand the potential of the Uvat project in the Northern and southern directions.
New areas of exploration are a testing ground for the company to introduce advanced engineering solutions, optimize the process of well development, including testing of new equipment and obtaining inflows of even high-viscosity oil. One of the most effective ways was the use of inflow intensification already at the stage of exploration, which allows geologists of LLC “RN-Uvatneftegaz” to identify industrially significant reserves in unconventional and complex reservoirs.
