RN-Uvatneftegaz: Ust-Tegusskoye Field Turns 30
It is 30 years since the discovery of the Ust-Tegusskoye field, the largest in the Uvat project of Rosneft. The field was discovered as a result of the drilling of prospecting well No. 100, which confirmed commercial oil deposits. In the process of subsequent additional exploration, the oil reserves of the Ust-Tegusskoye field increased more than 7 times – from 16 million tons to 118 million tons.
With the beginning of the development of the Ust-Tegusskoye field in 2006, the Uvat project was launched. The commissioning of the field in early 2009 became the starting point for the full-scale development of the subsoil in the south of the Tyumen Region.
During commercial operation, 571 wells were drilled at the field, cumulative oil production amounted to 58 million tons. Currently, it accounts for 35% of the production of the entire Uvat project.
During the development period, three more satellite fields were discovered in the immediate vicinity of the field with initial recoverable reserves in the amount of 38 million tons of oil (Zapadno-Epasskoye, Malyk and Yuzhno-Gavrikovskoye), which later became part of the Eastern development center of the Uvat project.
The necessary infrastructure for oil and gas production has been created at the Ust-Tegusskoye field. External oil transportation is provided by a 264 km pressure pipeline to the oil pumping station of the Kalchinskoye field. The central gathering point provides oil treatment from 16 well pads. The own gas turbine power plant with a capacity of 83 MW provides power generation to the main facilities of the Eastern development center of the Uvat project. The level of rational use of associated petroleum gas is 98%.
The operation of the largest field of the Uvat project is supported by 580 employees of the enterprise and 58 contractors, whose total staff currently exceeds 3,000 people.
