  • RN-Yuganskneftegaz Began Construction Of A Highly Efficient Well Pad

RN-Yuganskneftegaz (the leading production enterprise of Rosneft) has begun drilling an enlarged well pad at the Prirazlomnoye field, on the basis of which several dozen wells will be grouped.

The site design, accommodating up to 48 wells, was developed by specialists from RN-Yuganskneftegaz and the corporate research and design institute in Ufa. The use of this approach to grouping wells will improve the environmental friendliness of production processes, as well as optimize construction costs. The economic effect is estimated at 160 million rubles for each new well pad.

As part of the project, the scope of work on engineering preparation of the site has been optimized – dumping the cluster base, access roads and construction of utility networks. In addition, reducing the area occupied by the facility frees up about 0.26 hectares of land.

Based on the results of the pilot project, Rosneft will consider the possibility of further replicating the method of constructing enlarged well pads at other facilities.

High environmental standards of operations and increased production efficiency are key components of Rosneft’s strategy.
