  • RN-Yuganskneftegaz: Production Up 2% in 2016

    RN-Yuganskneftegaz, a subsidiary of NK Rosneft, increased oil production by 2% compared to the same period of 2015 (62.4 million tons) – up to 63.6 million tons, in 2016. The accumulated production of the company has exceeded 2.2 billion tons.

    The production results were achieved thanks to the implementation of a set of effective geological and technical measures, the use of modern technologies of oil production and the successful implementation of new projects.

    The development of new reserves conducted by drilling horizontal wells with carrying out a multi-stage hydraulic fracturing (HF). In 2016, “RN-Yuganskneftegaz” as part of the drilling program boosted the pace of construction of new wells. As a result, the number of commissioned wells increased by 59.4% compared to 2015 and amounted to 1 436 pcs., The volume of completed fracturing operations increased by 40% over this period.     In 2016, RN-Yuganskneftegaz as part of measures to fill the industrial hydrocarbon reserves and sustainable production growth in the medium and long term has acquired the right to use subsurface resources of the license area – Surgut 5 – for the prospecting, exploration and production of hydrocarbons.

    The company has successfully implemented a program to increase the level of associated gas utilization efficiency. At the end of 2016 the figure was 89.2%.
