Rosneft: Adopts New International Standards in Industrial Safety, Labor Protection and the Environment
Rosneft’s Integrated Industrial Safety, Health and Environment Management System (IMS HSE) was recognized as meeting the requirements of international standards ISO 45001: 2018 “Occupational health and safety management system” and ISO 14001: 2015 “Environmental management system”. Based on the results of the passed audit, Rosneft and 66 Group Companies received certificates of compliance with international standards.
The audit of the integrated HSSE management system of the Company and its subsidiaries was carried out in August-October 2020 in such business areas as Exploration and Production, Refining and Petrochemistry, Commerce and Logistics, Gas Business, Internal Service “. Based on the results of the assessment, the representatives of the audit company confirmed the high level of the HSE management system at Rosneft.
Experts noted the results of the Company’s large-scale work to ensure industrial safety, labor and environmental protection, which is being carried out on an ongoing basis. As part of this work, new requirements were introduced for working with contractors, a new process for HSE risk management is being introduced, measures are being taken to support the culture of occupational safety, environmental culture among the employees of the Company and contractors, active work is underway to form a corporate carbon management system and other activities. aimed at the development of the HSE ICS of the Company.
As part of the transition to ISO 45001: 2018, Occupational Safety and Health Management Systems, the Company conducted corporate training on the requirements of international standards and centralized implementation of new approaches. The main attention in the training course was paid to practicing practical assignments based on actual production examples within the framework of the Integrated Management System.
