Rosneft Brings New Software to the Foreign Market
Rosneft held a Technology Day, which was attended by over 100 representatives of major oil and gas companies, including Gazprom, Novatek, Lukoil, Zarubezhneft, Surgutneftegaz, Tatneft, Transneft and etc. At the event, specialists from the RN-BashNIPIneft corporate institute told their colleagues about the capabilities of the Rosneft science-intensive software line and plans for its development.
The Company’s specialists paid special attention to new IT products that will be introduced to the foreign market this year. These are the RN-VEGA and RN-Drilling calculations software packages.
Rosneft is the first company in Russia to successfully create high-tech software covering all key oil and gas production processes. The science-intensive software line today includes 23 software products, 10 of which have already been launched on the market and are successfully sold. Rosneft IT solutions are used for production tasks in the field of geology, design, development and operation of fields. They outperform imported analogues in terms of speed, the list of tasks to be solved, the use of modern algorithms and a clear interface.
The new PC “RN-VEGA” allows you to carry out the entire process of interpretation of hydrodynamic studies of wells (WT), from the preparation of “raw” data to the issuance of a conclusion. The advantages of the software include high speed and accuracy of the mathematical core, support for all types of well test. Now the software package is being implemented within the perimeter of Rosneft and will soon be available to external customers.
PC “RN-Drilling Calculations” is intended for designing and construction of wells. The software allows you to plan well trajectories, analyze the risks of their intersections, and calculate the stability of the drill string. The functionality of the software also includes hydraulic calculations, forecasting the removal of drill cuttings, the design of fastening processes and the automated creation of reporting documentation.
Corporate software is able to work in domestic operating systems (OS) of the Linux family. Thus, Rosneft helps Russian companies to more effectively carry out import substitution measures in the field of information technology, and also contributes to the development of the IT industry in the country.
The Technology Day participants discussed the possibilities of software import substitution and agreed on further cooperation.
