  • Rosneft Commences Construction of Power Generation Facilities for Vostok Oil Project

    As part of the XXIV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, OOO Vostok Oil (a Rosneft Group Subsidiary) and OOO Inter RAO Engineering (an Inter RAO Group Company) concluded survey and design contracts to underpin construction of Train 1 power generation facilities for the Vostok OIl Project.

    Inter RAO Engineering is to deliver survey and design works to enable construction of the Irkinskaya Gas Turbine Station to 867 MW, a 110 kV overhead power transmission line, power generation facilities of the Payakha Head Oil Pumping Station, and also of a 214 MW power station in North Bay.

    In 2020, Rosneft commenced full-field development of its Taimyr assets. Vostok Oil will help unlock the unique resource potential of the region. Execution of this Project secures delivery of the targets set by the President of Russia on increasing the freight traffic of the Northern Sea Route.

    Project plans include construction of power generation facilities of about 3.5 GW, 3 aerodromes, 2 offshore terminals, 15 accommodation camps, large-scale renovation of the Enisey River infrastructure. Rosneft is constructing an onshore terminal in the North Bay Port to ensure loading of crude oil to tankers.
