Rosneft Discovered a New Field in Udmurtia
Udmurtneft (a joint venture between Rosneft and Sinopek) has discovered a new field in the Republic of Udmurtia. More than 400 thousand tons of recoverable oil reserves are planned to be put on the State Balance. The field is named after Alexander Zelenin, Honored Oilman of the Udmurt Republic, who worked for Udmurtneft for 45 years.
Increasing the efficiency of reserves replacement is one of the key elements of the Rosneft-2030 Strategy. The company plans to replenish at least 100% of the produced hydrocarbons.
A new field was discovered based on the results of drilling an exploration well. The high efficiency of Udmurtneft’s exploration work is achieved through the use of innovative technologies and effective interaction between the company’s geologists and specialists from the Izhevsk Oil Research Center (part of Rosneft).
Rosneft, through its subsidiary Udmurtneft, is implementing large-scale exploration work in the Republic. Over the past 5 years, two new fields and 20 deposits within license areas have been discovered and put on the balance sheet.
